The Board of Directors at Crestview Academy have chosen a traditional dress code/uniform policy for teachers and students.  There are several reasons that we feel that the current dress code is appropriate:
  • To underscore the traditional values that the school emphasizes through the curriculum, teaching methods, and virtues/character development.
  • To eliminate the self-consciousness and social competition which fashion tends to promote.
  • To underscore the school's seriousness of purpose by encouraging students to think of their attire as an aspect of their work.

Below are the dress codes for both girls and boys :

Girls Dress Code

walking shorts, no more than three inches above

the knee and no cargo pockets.

Skorts

Navy or Khaki twill

Jumper

Sweater

V-neck pullover, cardigan or crew neck. No

hoods on sweaters.

Tights

Navy, white


Socks

Navy, white, khaki. black

Navy, brown or black

Bucks, oxfords, penny loafers or t-strap style

shoes. All shoes must have rubber soles for

safety. No sandals or clogs please.  Classroom shoes should be "Skid-free" shoes so that we aren't leaving black marks on floors.

Tennis Shoes

Plain colored

We prefer to have tennis shoes that have no logo.

However, if you find that you cannot find a shoe

that fits your particular needs without a logo, we

ask that the logo be the same color as the shoe, so

that it will not be noticeable.

Tennis shoes must be worn in phy. Ed. class,

optional for recess. Tennis shoes may not be

worn during regular class time.

Make-up


Discreet - upper grades only



Outdoor Wear


Jackets, hats, mittens, snow pants, & boots are to

be plain & have no logos. This includes sports

team logos.

Jewelry


We ask that jewelry be modest. Earrings - one

small stud in each ear. Necklaces should be

small or modest such as a cross, birthstone or

pendant. Rings - two small rings per hand



Other guidelines for students:

  1. All uniforms are to be plain color with no logos.
  2. Logos should be avoided on all lunch boxes and backpacks. This includes sports team logos.
  3. Boys and girls are to wear their shirts tucked in.
  4. Students are required to wear tennis shoes for physical education.
